Check software: one flow from table to kitchen

The order opens at the table, the kitchen sees it at the same moment, and when the bill is requested the check closes in seconds. No paper tickets, no double entry, no missing money at close.

Check management

What is check software and what does it do?

A check (adisyon) is the record where a table’s food and drink orders are processed from the moment it opens until the bill is closed. Check software moves that record off paper: the moment an item is entered the total is calculated, the order reaches the kitchen, stock is deducted and the end-of-day report is updated. One action updates service, accounting and inventory at the same time.

Paper checks fail in three recurring ways: handwriting cannot be read, tickets go missing, and totals added by hand come out wrong. All three come straight out of revenue. In HMS POS the check is digital and the waiter, the register and the kitchen all look at the same record. When an item is comped, voided or a table is split, who did it is recorded too.

  • Dine-in, delivery, takeaway and self-service checks on one screen
  • Split, merge and transfer checks with a single tap
  • Cash, card, meal card and running accounts can be mixed on the same check
  • Comps, voids and refunds require permission and record who did them
  • Checks keep opening even if the internet drops and sync when it returns

The life of a check

The table opens Tap the table on the floor plan and the check starts.
Items are entered Item, portion, extras and notes are chosen at the table.
The kitchen sees it The order lands on the right station’s screen.
The bill closes Payment is taken; revenue and stock update at once.

What you can do on a check

Every situation you meet in service has an answer on the screen.

Table and floor plan

Build the floor with drag and drop and tell occupied, free and reserved tables apart by colour. Terrace and garden are defined as separate areas.

Extras and portion options

Large size, rare, no onions — options are attached to the item and the price difference is applied automatically. The kitchen note travels on the same line.

Splitting and merging checks

On a large table the bill splits by person, by item or by amount. When two tables merge, their checks become one record.

Mixed payment

One check can be half cash and half card; meal cards, transfers and running accounts are handled on the same screen.

Comps, voids and permissions

You decide which staff can comp, void and discount. An attempt without permission asks for a manager’s approval on screen.

Receipt, check and e-invoice

The check printout, the register receipt and the e-invoice all come from the same record, so nothing is re-entered for accounting.

The kitchen link

The check reaches the kitchen on its own

The moment an order is confirmed it lands on the kitchen display (KDS); the hot, cold and bar stations each see their own screen. Preparation time is tracked by a counter and a late order changes colour. Nobody has to walk to the kitchen, carry a ticket or ask whether a dish is ready.

Shrinkage and control

A lost check is lost revenue

On paper the most expensive item is the ticket that disappears: the dish leaves the kitchen, reaches the table and is never billed. On a digital check every line is recorded and cannot be erased — only an authorised user can void it, and the void shows up in the report with a name and a timestamp. Recipe-based stock deduction lets you compare what was sold against what left the store every single day.

Frequently asked

Frequently asked questions about check software

Adisyon is the Turkish word for the running record of a table’s orders, from the moment it opens until the bill is paid — what English calls a check or a tab. Check software keeps that record digitally.
HMS POS is free for 14 days with every module and asks for no credit card. If you do not continue, the account simply closes and your data is exported to you. Permanently free tools are usually limited to one register with no support — the real cost shows up the moment something breaks and there is nobody to call.
Yes. HMS POS has an offline mode: with no connection you can still open checks, enter orders and take payment. When the connection returns, every transaction is written to the cloud in order and no sale is lost.
Android and iOS phones and tablets, Windows touch POS terminals, and any computer with a browser. An ordinary phone works as a waiter handheld, so you do not have to buy dedicated hardware.
Yes. A bill can be split by person, by item or by amount, and each part can be closed with a different payment method. In the same way two tables’ checks can be merged, or a check can be moved to another table.
Send us your menu as a spreadsheet or even photos and our setup team enters it for you. A mid-sized menu is usually ready the same day, and setup is not charged.
